My daughter is 11 months old today & HATES the stage 3 foods. I stick to stage 1 & 2 for her & then give her slices of fruit (peaches, pears, green beans, sweet potaotes) to let her experience chewing food...it's worked for her so far!  Good luck!

With our two oldest we used Gerber and the 3rd foods seem to have big chunky pieces in them (which wasn't a problem for them because they both ate very well) but with our youngest he had a harder time adjusting to baby food so we tried Beech Nut and besides usually being cheaper than Gerber, their stage 3 is not chunky like Gerbers. I definitely recommend Beech Nut. I was a little leary at first because I've always used Gerber but I had always heard so many good things about Beech Nut I decided to give it a try and I'm glad that I did.  Hope this helps.

your best bet, is to make your own. it's alot healthier, tastier, and you can decide what texture it needs to be.

My daughter also hates the stage 3 foods.  So I just started giving whatever we were eating cut into tiny pieces of course and over time she has started to eat and like all kinds of foods.  Some things she really likes are the Gerber Puffs, White Rice, veggies cut really small, even chicken cut really small.

My son hated the Stage 3 foods. They are confusing because they are still the same puree, but with chunks added in. He always choked on them. I started just giving him the gerber puffs, diced carrots, pears, bananas and he loved them. At 11 months he's been eating any and all table food for about 2 months. Mashed potatoes are also a great option. They love them! Good luck. Let me know if you have questions!

HI Breigh,

My daughter is about to turn 1 on the 1st of Feb and she was the same it has only been in the last month that i have been able to get her to get anything that wasn't pureed, i started just by sitting her in her high chair and giving her things like sultanas and other small pieces of food, more for her to play with and over time she started to put them in her mouth and now she is happy to eat lumpy food and doesn't have any trouble with it, i to was worried in the begining but thought she will do it when she is ready and she proved me right. i hope this has helped a little.

What type of baby food is she eating? Is she eating stage two Beechnut or Gerber? You may need to stick with the regular baby food or you can puree your own. We have several varieties available in our regular grocery stores.
