My daughter tells me "caca"before she has to go. So, I bought her a potty. When I go to the bathroom she comes in and sits on the potty. The problem is that I work and go to school and she is in daycare 5 days a week. How do I potty train her? Do I ask the school for help?

@Stacy.....try not to get too upset yet at this point....EVERY kid is different when they are fully ready to be trained....at 18m their at a developemwntL stage that they may be interested in the potty and you may have lots of successes some days and not so much others....your son is not yet at an age where he physically/mentally/emotionally should be expected to be able to fully accomplish the potty...definitely keep working with him but give him at least another 6-12m before you have concerns that he's regressing....this is my medical opinion (pediatric nurse) and my opinion based on experience (3kids 8,6,&3)....if you push him...more chance of regressing...they will do it when they are ready.

I have an 18mth old boy who is 85% trained at home. At daycare he sits on potty but doesn't go. Today was his first day back since his training and he peed in pull ups three times. I'm so upset he's going to regress. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know they have other kids but I feel like there should be a middle ground.

YES! Most daycares should be willing and able to assist with your potty training schedule...It should be an expectation...in the long run it is only going to help them

My daycare doesn't start potty training till 2 1/2 and she is 1 1/2. So I'm suppose to wait another year? Uhh.

Yes, you should ask them to help for sure. Ask if they will sit her on the potty every 1-2 hours. You sound like a busy mom. Good Luck! Awesome that she tells you when she has to go potty.

not sure what her daycare is like but my first daughter was in day care she was there 5 days too and they toilet trained her for me. it was much harder for my son who was home with me! they see other kids doing it and pick it up quicker. if she is already keen at home if you get her teachers involved she'll be there in no time
