For the past two weeks I have been trying to give my one year old cow's milk but he will not take it. I have tried cold milk right out of the fridge, I have warmed it as well. I have tried giving it to him threw a straw and in a sippy cup. He seems to know the difference each time. I really want him to start drinking cow milk. Help!

i am still working on that with my 13 month old I started her off by giving her 4oz of water 2 scoops of formula and 2 oz of fresh whole milk and she did pretty good now I just reduced it, 1oz of water 1/2 scoop of formula and 5oz milk she is doing good oh and add a scoop of baby cereal if you have any good luckand hope this helps

Hey...I had the same problem with my 13 month old. I was trying to follow the advice of my pediatrician, and Miles just wouldn't have it. Someone suggested that he might have a sensitivity to cow's milk, and not to force him to drink it. As a long-time vegitarian, I decided to try soy milk...which tastes kind of like formula...and he LOVES it. Talk to your doc and see what they reccomend, but soy milk has most of the benefits of cow's milk with none of the hormones and antibiotics to be concerned about. I am really happy that my son enjoys it, and is getting all of the good protein and calcium, with NO struggle.

Hi have u tried powdered full cream milk... my daughter wouldnt drink cows milk at all but she loved powderd milk and then after a while of drinking powderd milk she is now drinking the full cream junior milk (which is basically just cows milk with added vitamins and minerals ).

Hiya,my 13mth old was the same wouldn't drink cows milk so carried on with the formula and just kept trying the cows milk mid morning and with in a wk he was drinking it then swapped his morning and night milk gradually.xx

i did the same as the first reply...my 12 month old daughter HATED cow's milk. i mixed 4oz cow's milk with 2oz formula for about 4 days and then went to just milk and she's been drinking it great for a week now! now my only problem is getting her to drink it from a cup. out of the bottle she does great, and she will drink anything out of a cup...anything but milk. =(

I did half milk, half formula for about a week and a half now hes just drinking milk
