I am so excited to find this group. My daughter will be 1 on Feb 10th. I have been breastfeeding and pumping at work for almost a year now. Does anyone have any advice on how to make the transition to cows milk easier. I may still nurse at home, but I am definately ready to give up the pump.

Thanks for the advice. Her birthday was Tues so I have slowly been decreasing my number of pumps. Yesterday I just pumped once. Still nursing in the morning and at night. We are doing fine.

Pumping is the pits. I am nursing in morning and night. My son turned 1 year on Feb.8. At 9 months(per my DR) we began mixing formula(or breast milk) w/whole milk to supplement the weaned afternoon feedings. I only nurse 2x a day now.) My son had no reaction to the transition physically or emotionally. Watch for any allergies to the milk.
