Does anyone have any suggestions on how to ease the pain for everyone in the house when you child has an ear infection. I NEED SLEEP!!

My son who just turned one on Feb. 6th has yet another ear infection. This makes number 4 or 5 in his short little life. He is on antibiotics and prescription ear drops which helps a lot. We are starting to talk about ear tubes. Talk with your doctor, there is help. Don't forget the Tylenol and Motrin. I was told by the pharmacist that Motrin has an anti-inflammatory and lasts longer then the Tylenol. Good luck

Havn't experienced it yet, but I have read that lying down makes it worse, so elevate the head of his mattress, (and his change mat) to take the pressure off. I have also heard that a warm flannel washcloth or heat pack against the ear is good, though they're pretty wriggley, so not sure how to keep his head on the pack, like a pillow. And some earplugs for you? I keep a pair in Charlotte's nursery for workplace health and safety hehe

go to the doctor if u havnt or ready ,they gave her antibiotics,also check her ears and see if they need cleaning out too!

Really the best you can do for them that I know of is tylenol and motrin. Rotate them about every 3hrs til the antibiotic kicks in. Good luck!
