Hi Jessica,

My son Sebastian who is 3, sleeps about 9 hours at night and still takes naps during the day which can last anywhere from 2 1/2 hours-4 hours. Yes, only 9 hours, this kid is an early bird! I try to get him to bed at 9-9:30pm and wakes up no later than 6:30am! I'm a morning person so I know that's where he gets it from!

My 5 month old son sleeps 11 hours at night from 7pm till 6am then goes back to sleep at 9 am till 9.45am. He stays awake till 12.30 pm then sleeps anywhere between 1.5 to 2 hours. If he sleeps 2 hours he does not take an afternoon nap but if he sleeps only 1.5hrs or less he sleeps another 15-30 mins at about 4.30pm.

My son also sleeps 12 hrs a night. Sometimes he will wake after about 8 hrs for a quick bottle then back to sleep. He takes an hr nap after about 3 hrs of being awake then up for another 3 hrs or so then a 2 hr nap( if I'm lucky) then up for few more hrs then about 1 hr nap then up again and about 1 hr later beddy bye. Oh he eats about every 3-4 hrs. I formula feed him. I'm so glad he's not the only baby sleeping 12 hrs!! I thought he was sleeping too much! I was worried about him getting a flat head!

our daughter sleeps about 10 hours at night, 12 if i'm lucky(lol). She'll be in bed about 8-9pm and will wake up when Daddy has to get ready for work sometimes at 6 or 9. I play with her at various times of the day, also she'll tire her self out by play with her own toys as well with all the kicking and wiggling she does. Then by 8 or 830 at night, I'll give her a bath with the Johnson's bedtime bodywash (REALLY helps), massage her with lotion, swaddle her, feed her a bottle and she's out for the rest of the night. I've notice that if we don't swaddle her, she'll wake up in the middle of the night and want either her paci or bottle to calm her down. Hope this helps :)

Hi my Daughter sleeps untill 6 am has a feed then sleeps untill about 9am.Then she usually has a 30-40 minute nap before each bottle which is every 3 hrs. At night Evie-May has a bottle at 7pm this is formula milk from a carton, the same as the powdered milk i use. this milk is more creamy and seems to settle her more.

She cat naps all day but sleeps through the night. We MAY get an occasional 1 to 2 hour nap but it's rare. She goes down at 8:00ish and doesn't get up until I have to wake her up and that's usually 5:45. If not, she would sleep till 7:00ish. Scarlett has slept through the night since she was two weeks old. I'm NOT bragging because teething is the next hurdle :)

My baby wakes at 6:00 (we wake her) so she can say good morning then goodbye to daddy before he goes to work. Then she has a morning nap at around 9:00-9:30am for around 40 mins to an hour.

She then goes down again between 12:30-13:30 for 2 hours if I can get her to stay asleep. If she wakes before having more than 2 hours sleep I try to get her to sleep again during the afternoon so she's had a nap prior to her evening feed and bath.

After her evening feed and bath, she goes to sleep for the night at around 18:30-19:00 and doesn't wake again until we wake her at 6:00am Occasionally if she hasn't had enough to eat before her last feed she may wake during the night, but that doesn't happen very often.

He sleeps well at night, but only naps short naps during the day - usually 45 minutes at around 8:30/9:00, and again 45 minutes around 11:30, again 45 minutes around 2:30 and sometimes another 45 minutes at around 4:45/5:00 although somoetimes we skip that and go straight to bed between 6 and 8 p.m. (earlier if he has not had the 5 p.m. nap, and later if has had it...) The general rule is I don't let him stay up more than 2 hours, MAYBE 3 if we're out and about... He usually has one wake up around 3 a.m. for a feed. We're breastfeeding only.

We use cloth diapers (Bummis Super Brites) and they have held up very well overnight with our long skinny baby; and is very long and skinny. The Pampers we've used while travelling, and also the Hugies - the Huggies were awful for us....

my daughter was born on the 28th feb and she has slept all night since she was born her feeding pattern differs on different days as she can wake up anytime between 6am-8am and she feeds every 3 hours but after her first feed in the morning she falls straight bk asleep till her next feed and then she cat naps through the day some times she only sleeps once or twice through the day and its only an hour sleep she will have....at night i will give her a bath half an hour before her last feed which is usually around 9 then she will take her feed and fall straight asllep for the night for me giving her a bath at night is best as it relaxes her especially after she gets a massage with her after bath oils

My son was born 28th Feb. He goes 11hrs @ night. He wakes up at 7am has his bottle and a bath then goes back to bed. He will then have another nap after his lunch time bottle then he may have another two little naps. He has his last bottle and bed @ 8pm with a story and then he has his musical mobile on. I bath in the morning as when my daughter was his age bathing her at night just seemed to make her more awake.

My son born 2/23 sleeps from 10 pm to 9 am every night. What kind of diapers are you guys using ? His little huggies supremes are not holding up at night. I don't think they were made for long sleepers.

We also had problems with Huggies. I think it depends on the shape of your baby (ours is long and thin). We were using Pampers Swaddlers, but have now switched to the Kirkland brand (sold at cost-co), and they are just as good if not better, and half the cost. (They are also cute, with a monkey motif). Our son usually gets his last diaper change around 10pm, and lasts until ~6 or 6:30am when his Papa gets up to go to work. (Of course, he stays on this schedule even on the weekends, so no more sleeping in for us!) Baby and I have breakfast, then take a nap together before starting our day. I find that I usually do several diaper changes in the morning hours, so it may be that baby's bladder is more active when he is awake.

We have him on a fairly self-determined nap schedule (he sleeps when he is tired), with the exception that we try to keep him awake and active in the evenings so he will tire himself out and sleep better at night. I generally move him from room to room with me throughout the day, so naps are usually on a play mat or in one of his chairs, with the crib reserved for night time.

i agree, pampers are the best. i had free samples from huggies and luvs and they didn't come close to the quality of the pampers swaddlers. i've never had a problem with leaks or rashes, even if morgan is in them overnight for 12 hours.

my daughter is 4 months old and has been sleeping atleast 9 hours since she was 2 months old (please don't hate me, haha). she still doesn't have a routine, and i don't force one, but she'll go down for the night anywhere from 9:30-11 and sleep anywhere from 9-12 hours. it all depends on when she eats, if she eats at 8, i can count on her to eat again and then be down for the night. if she eats at 9 or 930, i put her to bed right after. naps are always different, depending on when she wakes up, but i think she's still sleeping for about 3-4 everyday.

My boy will normally wake between 6-7 am. If it's closer to 7 he'll feed then go back down around 930-10 and usually stay down for an hour. He'll have his next feed when he wakes then again go down 2.5 to 3 hours after he last woke up. In the mean time, we'll play, have tummy time etc. Bath time is around 5 - 530 then feed at 6 to be down again at 630. I'll then wake him at 930, give him a quick nappy change then a feed and he'll be back in bed by ten. If he's in the car or pram he'll normally nap as well.

My daughter sleeps anywhere from 8-12 hours straight every night, and we use Pampers brand diapers. They hold up really well. We tried the Huggies too and they leaked the very first night. I woke up to find my baby with poop on her hands and face! Not good! Give the Pampers swaddlers a try. They are so soft and durable and she never had diaper rash until the time we switched to Huggies.

you can really tell that every bub is different when reading this thread! my bub is pretty predictable but flexible if that makes sense, bedtime at 8pm, sleeps til 3am for feed then sleeps through until 9am.. i can count on her wanting a feed every 3 or so hours and needing a sleep every 2, she has 30min to an hr in the morn, 2hrs round 2pm and a nap at 5.30-6pm. For the busy days when i have to wake her early or put her to bed late, her little system still works, every 2 hrs sleep, every 3 hrs feed. She's breastfeed only. I suggest writing down when your little one naps and feeds and see if they have their own routine and work with that. I have noticed my bub has changed the time spent sleeping as shes grown.. hope that all helps.

Awake 6.30 am
Sleep at 8 for no longer than an hour
sleep at 10.30 for 2-3 hours
sleep at 3/4 for no more than an hour
sleep at 6.30 pm for the night

He has another nap after this but usually only a 40 'winker'!! so I make him hang in there as long as he can before his tea time feed at 5;30pm....I get him up for a dream feed at 10pm and he sleeps till 7am (sometimes I have to go and wake him up at the moment so I might just bring his dream feed forward a bit!)

My son wakes up around 5:30 or 6am and goes back to sleep until around 9am. Then he's awake for a while then naps again around 11am until around 1pm. Is awake for a while then naps again around 3:30pm until around 5 or so. Takes another nap until around 8 then goes down around 10 and sleeps through until 6 again. Overall, not so bad to deal with.

My daughter is on a 7a, 10a, 1p, 4p, 7p, and 10p schedule. At this time she feeds, then she has a little awake time, and an hour and a half after she starts eating she goes for a nap...so she naps at 8:30, 11:30, 2:30, 5:30, and 8:30. Then she sleeps the hour and a half until her next feeding. It is so nice to have her on a predictable routine!

My daughter (3 1/2 months) sleeps 6pm-6am and she generally has 3 45min-1hr long naps during the day. The first one is ALWAYS at 7.30am, then she has an awake period of a couple of hours and goes back down at about 11am. Another nap at 2-3pm then she's awake til bed at 6pm. I firmly believe that a baby who sleeps well during the day will sleep well at night, as they don't get overtired. I also make sure to keep her stimulated in her awake times with toys, books, songs, walks outside and floor time. Tummy time especially tires them out. I put my daughter down for tummy time not long before each nap time.

My daughter (born 2/19), sleeps about 9 hours at night. Right now her napping schedule looks like about an hour some time in the morning (somewhere between 9-11:30) not really a set time, just whenever she dozes ... then after her luch bottle she goes down around 1-5, then after dinner she usually sneaks another one of those unplanned 1 hour snoozes, and then bottle and bed about 9/9:30.

But this is for this week ... she likes to changes things up every so often ... usually once I adjust she decides it's time for a different routine.
