I moved to Fort Hood Texas in October and had my son in February of 2009. I don't know many people and would love to meet other people with babies about my son's age.

Shelia I went ahead and asked my sister about Fort Hood. She said you should check out the Bronco Youth Center because they have free activities for moms and children ; she also said to get a hold of your FRG leader as she will be able to put you in touch with some mommy and me play groups. I hope this helps. Remember it takes a village to raise a family and to keep all of us sane. :)

I don't live there but I've visited Ft. Hood two years ago, what a nice area Coppers Cove right? Am I right to assume your other half is in the military ? Thank you for your service to the country. My sister lived there while her husband was in Iraq with Three Corp. It can be very challenging with a brand new baby and you definately need to find a local moms group. If you are on base check out the bulletin boards or look on line for a local play group there are usually stay at home moms that get together so they don't go insane. My sister was part of a group on base and they all babysat for eachother and had coffee etc. just to help one another out. I hope you can find something or some one, if you want I can give my sis a ring and see if she has local contacts for you in that area. She is currently at Fort Riley but will be moving back to Coppers Cove( I think that is the town near your fort) later this year. In the meantime Hang in There and Congratulations on your newest reason to smile. :D
