Had to be said... it keeps getting worse! Especially at night, it is so bad that it wakes me up, then of course I have to go to the bathroom, then I need a drink of water, then I need to resituate my pillows and get comfortable. 2 Hours later it starts all over again! Sorry I just needed to vent!

Take some TUMS -- they're perfectly safe. If you're also nauseous, then u might want to change out your diet a bit -- the reason for it is that your baby is pressing up on ur liver & pancreas, once your tummy drops, it should go away. I don't get heartburn, but i get pain on both sides of my rib cage because baby's butt is pressing my organs against it. What worked for me throughout this entire pregnancy is pellegrino/perrier, first trimester was with a lime to help with nausea. but (knock on wood), haven't been throwing up, i do get nauseous every once in a while, but it's definitely not as bad as it could have been. Oh, i heard that ginger candy works as well (those tangy things from Asian stores) my girlfriend who just had a baby has been eating in a lot because her baby was so high up, she virtually couldn't keep anything down & been eating TUMS by the pack on weekly basis.

Hi Jacyln. I hear you. I've had acid reflux since I was 6 months pregnant. I take TUMS. Works well. Also, eating smaller portions of food helped a lot. Honestly, it doesn't bother me as much as some of the other pregnancy issues I have (the infamous "H" that is painful, insomnia, sore back).

I've found that if I eat ice cream before I go to bed, I can pretty much keep the heartburn at bay for the most part...Although I have days where just drinking water will give me heartburn. It's quite confusing.

I have been taking Rollaids religiously for the past 4 months. The good news is that as soon as you deliver the heartburn will go away.

Oh yes, sounds so familiar. I have actually used some sparkling water to help with this!

I've got it too. It makes me nauseated and I feel like my throat is on fire all the time!

Yuck!  I feel your pain!  Granted, I'm not as bad as a friend of mine who always ended up puking and her doctor had to put her on medication!!

Have you ever tried Papaya chews from a health food store?  I'll admit they don't help ALL the time but really do make a difference for the most part.  Guess we're at the point we just have to stick it out!  Not too much longer, right?  :)
