Hiring a sitter-questions

The time has come...I must hire a sitter outside of my family. I am so nervous about the whole idea but I have received several phone calls and have begun to set up interviews with the applicants. I have a long list of questions but I was wondering what other Mommies out there might ask and if I have forgotten anything I can add it to my list. My other question is do other Moms believe that it is okay to ask as many questions as possible even though it might overwhelm the potential sitter? Any suggestions, questions, comments, and answers in general are greatly appreciated! Thank you ladies!

Hi! We have occasional sitters we use when needed. I am at home now, so we don't need a full-time nanny. I was so nervous the first time also, and I asked many questions. That was when my daughter was 13 months old (she's now 3 and my son is 15 months and we still use this girl!).We have another girl we use too. What are you looking for? Part-time or full-time? Age? Experience?
