How much are you little ones talking and making noise? My son is saying moma, baba (bottle), dada and then makes up some of his own words. How much should they know?

Hiya! My little girl's first real word that I taught her 2 weeks ago is UP! Everything is UP! UP! UP! and when a plane flies over head she shouts UP! She also says dadad and mumum and baba. My man and I try to answer her whenever she says dada or muma at the right moment so she can learn to call us correctly hehe.

my baby turned 10 months on the 13th of dec, she now says mama, papa, maa and babbles the rest, she also mimicks alot, she whispers, she blows air through her little mouth it looks so cute, and she claps. And remember every baby is diferent, so don't worrie if your little one isn't doing alot more than you expected, that does not mean he is not normal, your baby is perfect. God bless

My little girl says Dadda, Daddy and Mummy - and a lot of other stuff but nothing recognizable - I guess you would say you can just hear more sylables than just total babble - she was 10 months on the 18th of this month.

My son says iy ( Hi and puts his hand in the air!), mumma, dada, baba correctly (possibly fiss (for fish!) but its too soon to tell!)....the rest is just babble all linked together, ta, ga, fa, ka....but most importantly though, he uses inflection in his voice when he "talks", he is full out having a conversation with us or his toys or his pictures or himself.... they say if they are trying to at least imitate words by the end of 12 months they are doing fine.

Wow! My lil boy is only saying Dada, gaga, baba, but he doesn't seem to be calling people these names specifically. I'm working so hard for him to say "mama" but he's just not doing it. Should I be worried?

My son says mamamamamama and bababababa but Im not even sure that he knows it. I think he just says it or repeats it. He doesnt say it to me or when he wants a bottle.

Your baby is right on track. My 10 month old only says mama and baba. He is a pretty quiet baby.

Wow Jemma, you do have a little chatterbox! My daughter will be 10 months old on Christmas Eve, too. Her only word is dada. She jibber jabbers away all the time, but that has been her only word so far,
They all develop at their own rate. Crystal, your little one sounds right on track.

I think he is pretty much right on track. My 10 months old also says Mama, Dada, and Nana (grandma), as well as nods her head when she gets what she wants.
