the past two nights i let him cry it out and it worked!!!!! i cried the first night bc he was crying and yelling for me lol and right when i was about to get him he stopped and i peeked in and he was asleep...and then tonight he only cried for like a min and was out... so maybe he realized i wasnt going to come in and get him...so hopefully its stays like this bc our bed is too small for the 3 of us and his crazy sleeping lol thank you soo much everyone its nice to have the support and hear that im not the only one!!!!!

Just be strong and let him cry I know it sounds harsh but he will go to sleep - go in and reassure him every now and then because right now his brain says- i want mummy and if i cry she will come and get me, my son had sleep difficulties so i understand how hard it is but its worth it in the end

My daughter is the same way now also. I thought because my husband had just got back from his deployment she needed to sleep with us to get use to him being around again. She would just cry and cry until we got her and put her in are bed and she would fall right to sleep.

i agree with kelly above he needs to learn it will be a struggle and might take awhile but he will eventually sleep in his own bed i had to reteach my daughter when she was 6months she had a really bad cold would choke in her sleep from mucus i had to overcome my fears and do what was best for her in the long run good luck

my son has been sleeping with me since he was 2 weeks old he got sicks and i was scared to let him sleep alone and now i cnt get him out of my bed.. he has to b snuggled up next to one of us.. but if we take him someone where he will go straight to sleep in a crib i think it is just being at home he knows mommy will come in an pick him up.. n my case its my mother.. but let him cry in his crib he will put him self to sleep it is hard to hear ur baby cry it really is but u have to keep in mind that he is not hurt and its good for them to just cry and let them figure out how to put them selves to sleep or he will always want you to do it for him.. trust me it works.. if not ur going to end up with a 4 yr old in ur bed like my brothers wife.. and it is a lot worse training a 4 yr old than a 11 mnth old..

ok well he did have an ear infection and was sleeping with me bc he was real sick and kept running a faver so i didnt want to him to sleep alone... after that though he is still sleeping with me.. the second i put him down he wakes up and cries, but as soon as i pick him up hes back to sleep. it just dont make sence to me why he cant just sleep in his bed. its getting a lil frustating bc now me and his dad dont get any alone time at all!!

it could be teething or something else..just look for those signs. Also they say that babies begin seperation anxiety around this time...could be he just wants to know you are there.....have you tried putting him back down in his bed after comforting him??

teething, they start feeling the same emotions we do as they get older. nothing is better than snuggling up with your baby. unless you me and paranoid you will roll over them, or they will crawl of the bed in the night. mine just went through that. she was extremley sick though. perhaps he isnt feeling well? or maybe he just wants his mummy. my bb was like that i took her to the ER twice.. finally i took her to her peds. ear infection. she never wanted to lay down... unlessi held her..
