so my son is 7 weeks and 2 days old... and i still cant seem to get the hang of clearing out his nose... its scares me and he SCREAMS everytime i do it... any tips or tecqunics???? help is much appreciated!!!

The important thing to remember is not to put the end of the aspirator in his nose , rather simply put the tip onto the outside of the nostril at an angle and aspirate. I usually go from one side to the other on each nostril, and using saline is good too. The crying is just because it scares them as babies tend to breathe thru their noses. You'll get the hang of it. :)

I have to do this to my son everyother evening. I let one drop of saline nose drops drip into his nose about 10 mins before I start. Then I just suction fairly slowly and use a tissue to help pull everything out completely. He still usually fusses but it's getting less and less. Good luck
