Hi everyone, my name is Becky and I have a 2 year and 4 month old son named Tommaso who was born on Feb 19th 2009. We live in Mombasa in Kenya and we are very lucky to have his Papa' and the extended Italian family to help us in many ways but it is always great to hear stories and get advice from other families with similar aged children. I look forward to being part of this group and to participating in many future discussions. We are also expecting the arrival of a little brother for Tommaso in October 2011.

thanx this is great!!! i have a 2yr old little girl she was born on feb 1st 2009. she is my world. i love her more than anything but she is in the terrible twos stage :( im 21 and i can use all the help i can get me and her father have seperated but we have joint custody so we are in her life the same amount of time and i believe im the only one who disciplines her because when she comes back from her fathers shes bossy mean and orders me around and wont listen to me ive been puttin her in time out but i think all my progress i get in in a week is all just gettin undone when she stays with her father what do i do???/

Hi my name is Jo and I'm a late in life mum to my very precious little Emily who was a very special and much wanted little one. Hey everyone. I live in South Carolina...but i'm originally from Trinidad and Tobago. My daughter was born here in Feb 09 and I think she's already in the terrible two's stage. She's so much fun to be around and never ceases to amaze me. We're expecting a little boy in Jan 2011 and Abby is so excited..she calls him her Bubba lol. Well that's it for now. I think circle of moms is a brilliant website that helps and encourages all of us. Sometimes we have so many questions but we don't know where to get the answers, but here we can share together and help each other. I am a busy mommy of 2; have a 5 year old son that is into swimming, t-ball, soccer, & bowling, and is becoming very busy with extra curricular activities along with a 15 month old daughter that is very much interest in what brother is doing and thinks she can compete with him. I am 26 years old and have been dating my daughter's dad on/off for 3 1/2 years along with working at a bowling alley (sept-may) and working at old navy the whole year. Just finished school in December and would like to get a "real" job so that can have a standard of known income and can still see all of my childrens' events along with being a 26 year old and would like to hang out with other "moms" or even get to know other people that are in similar situations.

I am a first time mum to 14month old Mikayla Ella. She is the love of our (my husbands and I) lives. She is for ever surprising us - just the other day she was doing the actions to head sholders knees and toes (nursery song). Mikayla is also the first grandchild from both sides, so I love ready everyones comments as i have no siblings or inlaws (other then my mum and my mother inlaw) to talk to about being a first time mum.

Hi everyone! I'm a mom to a 14 month old in Canada. I'm a first time mom at age 39 and I'm loving every minute of it! She makes me feel 29, and at the same time, 79 :-) She just started walking on Easter wkend and is now all over the place. She eats like crazy and attempts to copy the words I say. I would say she has about 25 words in her vocab right now, that I can understand, and they are growing. Yesterday she said "baby" for the first time (I'm sure this came from daycare and the dolls they have.) I guess it's time for me to go and buy one for her! I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.

I posted on the original thread but wanted to say hi again. I'm Jenny, mother to 14 month old Dilana. We've been using ASL (sign language) with her since birth and she now can make the signs for close to 35 words and she understands the signs for many others. Her verbal vocabulary is also quite extensive. just the other day she said broccoli and vegetable! We read to her lots, in fact the first thing she says in the morning is "booky"
I love being a mom and can't wait till summer to be home with her all day. I have a full time job outside the home as a school librarian.
Looking forward to sharing loads with all the moms here.

I've been a mother for 13 months now. She is a beautiful acitve girl. I love being around her and I love watching her grow and learn. I am from Ohio. This is a neat community. I joined one group a while back, but finally decided to become active. It is interesting reading different opinions on the same topics. It is amazing how one's value system and upbringing can influence how a person loves, disciplines and teaches there child.

Hi everyone! :) My name is Karen and I'm a mom of 3 daughters. Alexa, born Feb 6, 2009, was my big surprise....as I also have two older daughters, who will be 15 and 16 this summer!!
