Any advice on how to get my 20 month old to drink cold milk from a sippy or cup?!! (She can drink from a cup just fine) She will drink warm milk from a bottle, but not a cup. It's like she just does not like it cold at all. Yes, I know she still likes a little milk in a bottle at bed time...not much but just a little. We are working on weaning her off the bottle all together. Does anyone have any advice?

My daughter will drink cold milk from her bottle, warm milk from her bottle, but no milk from a sippy cup .. I also give her a warm bottle of milk at bedtime, she will let me know when she's ready to get off I figure. If for some reason she gets up at night ( which is QUITE rare ) then I will give her water in her bottle, no more than 1 bottle of milk at night, I'm afraid of her teeth rotting, and I make sure to brush them when we wake up.

Tks for the advice...will have to give it a shot warm in a sippy cup, or one with a straw!

My daughter is 20 months and weaned off the bottle at 12 months BUT! her milk is still warmed she refuses to drink cold milk so I warm it and put it in her cup. She does not like sippy cups, she will not use them but has all her drinks out of the cups that have the silicone straw. Her milk is warmed at 50 seconds. I am going to slowing start decreasing that time but for now, oh well, it doesn't hurt for me to warm her milk if that is how she likes it.

only just took jordan off formula giving him hot milk didnt like it at start but just left it with him and he took it if theyre thirsty enough they will drink eventually

We are pretty much at the same place as you. To get my 20-month old to drink out of a sippy cup I started warming the milk slightly to get rid of the chill. Then I slowly deceased the time so now its about 30 seconds. He really enjoys his milk in the sippy cup. And don't worry...he still has a bottle in the morning and before bed. Hope this helps!
