My 11 week old baby loves to take a bath. She smiles the whole time while kicking her legs around. However, every time i get her out of the bath and wrap her up in her towel, with hood, she gets upset and cries for about 5-10 minutes. i'll get her clothes on her and she will still be upset. Then, she will just stop crying. Does anyone know what i can do to keep her happy? Is she just cold?

My girl did same thing she didn't like getting out of tub. I used a hair dryer on warm to dry her and she stopped crying. now at 3 months she's more happy to get out than to get in the tub LOL.

Yes my little boy was the same, i always give him a bath when he's hungry cos he forgets about it as he loves the bath so much! Then wrap him up put a nappy on him and feed him in his towel. He loves it and it soon stops him being upset. Also he finds it really comforting so i find he sleeps better for it. I think its cos playtime is over not cos he's cold.

Hope i helped. x

OMG! Its so nice knowing that other peoples babies do the same as mine! :)
My Daughter is 13 weeks nearly.. and she also cries when I get her out the bath... I also tried wrapping her warm and heating the room first.. but I just think she loves the bath.. (takes after me I suppose!)

My daughter is 12 weeks old & she loves her bath too. She doesn't cry while I'm drying her but she starts when I put her clothes on! It happens almost everytime. But I just pick her up for a cuddle & she stops. Not sure what it is either coz we also have the heater on.

My daughter is 3 monthes old. When she gets a bath, she is so excited and has fun until I take her out of the tub. She cries when I take her out of the bath. I even have my older sons warm a hooded towel for her in the dryer. She cries because her bath is over, not because she is cold.

yep my 11 week old does the same thing!! She might not like the hood either, I think mine hates it! Usually once I take the towel off her head (even tho her hair is wet she must still be cold!) she is okay. Then she is talkative and happy as can be!

my daughter is 11 weeks also and we have the same issue. she loves the bath so much but when its time to get out she cries for ten minutes. i have tried singing to her, rubbing her belly, we even put her towel in the dryer so its warm when she gets out. i just figured she loves her bath time ; )

Brenda, it's funny you mention that. I let her splash around after washing her last night. She splashed water in her face looked at me with a very surprised face.. like what was that... She got a little fuzzy so i got her out and she didn't cry but for a split second.

Or maybe she just isn't ready to get out of the tub:) My daughter loves the bath too, and I think she would be perfectly happy to just hang out for a while.

Well, I live in the Amazon area and it's very hot here. My son also cries when I get him out of the bath. I wrap him in a towel and feed him to settle him. When he's ok I start to dress him. Sometimes I think it's about the gravety or something, lol.

I agree, she's probably just chilly :( I dress my girls in the bathroom after bath time, cause it's nice and warm after the bath.

My guess is she's just cold. We have a little space heater in our daughter's room that I turn on before we start the bath, that way when I go in there to dress her it's really warm, it helps warm her up faster, much less crying. :-)
