Can stopping Fenugreek decrease milk supply?

My LO just turned 7 months old last week she wanted to nurse more frequently, but she would get frustrated when not enough milk was coming out, so I started to take fenugreek to increase my supply. I took it for a few days and then didn't notice a difference when I pumped but when she nursed she was satisfied, so I stopped taking the herb. Now when I pump while I'm away from her at work, I don't experience let down and only come home with 2-3 ounces, (I used to come home with 8+oz). Is it okay to just keep nursing and pumping to get my supply back up? I don't really want to take any more fenugreek. I nursed my first baby for 2 years with no issues on milk supply, so this is new for me, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Thank you, when I was taking the fenugreek I had diarrhea, that's why I stopped it, since then I've been eating oatmeal like crazy, drinking tons of water, and attempting to nurse her every 2 hrs she's awake while I'm home. I'm happy to report after a long weekend, of fighting with her to nurse, (she didn't want any and would bite me during the attempts) today she nursed perfectly and was satisfied. As far as pumping, I've added some sessions in my day as I am able to, I bring an outfit of hers with me and that has helped also.
Thank You

my baby had a reaction to fenugreek, so i won't take it, myself.

to boost my pumping supply (my son is always satsfied!) i started eating a bowl of oatmeal a day (the actual cooking kind, not the instant), and drinking mother's milk tea daily. that helped my pumping output greatly.

when you are pumping, make sure that you are in a quiet room and maybe bring a picture of your baby to help you relax. don't stress out about it -- that makes it worse! :)

also, you can try power pumping -- pump for 10 minutes, rest for 10 minutes, then pump for 10 minutes, for an entire hour. that stimulates when baby goes through a growth spurt. also, if baby does comfort sucking, have her do that to help boost supply.

good luck!
