My daughter is sooo picky about food now. She will refuse any baby food i give to her. If i make table food for her such as mash potatoes and steamed veggies she will only eat it once in a while. She doesn't like most foods and its soo hard to get her to eat anything. I have been dumping rice cereal in a bottle for her, she will take that. I have to do it due to her weight and such. I just don't know what to do anymore. One min she will like something, next day she hates it.

My son 10 months is not eating baby food either... Just fruit... Chopped in pieces. and lots of formula, our doctor says it's common for babies to do that.

My daughter is similar. She doesn't like to eat a lot of baby foods. She did drop a little in weight but still very large (21.5lbs) so the Dr. said not to push her too much. I think this is a common thing.

try blueberries! bet she will eat em. you sounded like you were describing our situation. when all else fails, blueberries! also, she probably wants to feed herself. thats my girls problem. shes on strike from being fed, wants to feed herself. i give her banana bits and dry cheerios for breakfast. she loves goldfish grahams. i started giving her the gerber graduates meals. the chicken & pasta wheels is easy to grab and so are the grad's pasta pick ups ravioli. see if she will feed herself.

My daughter started to refuse all baby food and completely skipped the Stage 3 stuff. She didn't like it. But foods I give her table food wise she loves that I tried the same with the Stage 3 stuff and would just gag on it. But now she is on all table food and eats almost everything we eat for meals. She refuses to eat off a spoon and only wants to feed herself. She only has 2 teeth, but she just gums it all, and LOVES it. Once she got the taste of real food, baby food just doesn't cut it anymore! She's eating scrambled eggs and french toast right now! lol

My daughter is like that too. I don't know what it is. She loves yogurt tho, get some nice fatty yogurt, because non-fat is not good for them, and feed her some of that. also, try peas for veggies, most babies love peas because they are sweet. I've just started to feed my daughter whatever I eat, and it's been working better than trying to force her to eat baby food. also try the baby puffs, mum mums, and baby graham crackers

Hi Annette, many babies did that. Both my daughters did that, with my first I made all of her food myself. even then she had periods where she did not want to eat. My second is going through that now she stop eating jar food or she would eat only for dinner. I make her baked carrots or steam peas or baked potatoes or sweet potatoes and cut them in bit size pieces and she loves the fact that she can use her fingers and feed herself she eats that anytime I offer. I thought she was not hungry or just don't feel like eating but either way if they are hungry they would eat. I offer her food for breakfast then lunch then snack then dinner if she is hungry she will eat. But putting cereal in a bottle is not recommendedm cereal should be fed in a bowl with a spoon. I also think that once they start eating finger foods it's hard to get them to eat the stage 2 food. sometimes I mix the stage 2 with the food that I make and she eats most of it.

My daughter has always loved milk, well who doesn't. When I introduced baby food, she went nuts. She loved it even more. Now that I have introduced her to foods such as eggs, mashed potato, yogurt and stuff like that, she wants that all the time. So I try to balance it. I would suggest to keep the liquids going though it may seem that she doesn't eat, I don't think is really a problem as long as she hydrated. I don't mean, don't give her food lol but I suggest you try different foods until you find something that she likes. By trying new things I have discovered what my daughter likes and what she doesn't. What used to be her favorite baby food-sweet potato has been replaced by soup and mashed potatoes. Sorry not much I can say about what to do exactly, i'm new at this too.
