hey everyone my names christina and im pregnate (still) with my fourth boy. about two days ago i lost my mucus plug (the first time this has happened by the way) but anyways i just always thought that looseing your mucus plug was a sure way to tell that you'll be haveing the baby soon. well as im sure u can tell i havent had any activity maybe afew contractions but nothing really i was just wondering why or if looseing the plug isnt really as sure as i thought

i lost my plug saturday morning and still nothing. i called my doc and she said that it is perfectly fine. as long as your not bleeding or spotting heavily. they did a cervix exam and i was only a cm dilated. but she said that loosing my plug i could dilate a little faster but it doesnt mean labor will come any sooner. we're just a step ahead of the game is what she told me

thanx everyone for the comments. still no luck though. . . trying to be patient is harder than it may appear LOL and i did loose it naturally there wasnt any anything involved in it. . . but i did get checked like a week before hand and was dialated to one so who knows!!! im just over being pregnate and ready to have this babyboy join this crazy family LOL hope all of you have wonderfully healthy babies!!!

All that means is your cervix is starting to dialate. It could still be a few weeks. BUT with my first I lost mine Sat morn and Sunday night I went into labor. Here's to hoping for you! :-)

It can be a sign, but not always. If it didn't fall out naturally (i.e. intercourse) then it may still be a while.

not always... u can go a week sometimes after dropping ur plug...do some walking and deff tell ur dr.
