My 9 month old will only sit up if she has one leg twisted behind her. Is this normal?

My daughter only sits up with one leg behind her. If I pull it forward she throws a fitt or just moves it right back. I asked my doctor but he didn't really say anything. Is this ok?

Maybe shes feels more balanced by having her leg that way? Who knows, I wouldnt worry about it, if she is able to use her leg normally (shes not doing it because her hips back to front or something). I have always sat with my left leg under my right thigh, and no matter where I am, or what kind of seat im sitting in i sit that way,

My daughter does that a lot from when she is crawling around, seems easier for her to take off. She will sit normal too, but will sit with her leg back behind sometimes

I think all babies are different and eventually she will grow out of it. I have 4 children and they were all different ages for each milstone and they all had and still have different prefernces for everything. I have 9 month old twins and my daughter (sophia) crawls everywhere climbs up the stairs and even pulls herself up to standing whereas my son (jackson) still won't crawl and not sure if he ever will. He prefers to scoot intead but its what he wants to do and it works for him, at least he's still getting around right!?
