My son refuses to be spoon fed - Now what?

Do any of you have advice on transitioning to self-feeding? My son is nearing 11 months, and we're behind on this transition. I've been trying to feed him veggie and fruit purees, cereal, and yogurt with a spoon, and he adamantly refuses. He gets finger food, too, but only wants to eat the Cherrios, toast sticks, and waffle bits he gets. Any fruit or vegetable sitting on his tray goes immediately on the floor. I'm open to any advice to help get him all of the different foods he needs. Thanks!

my 11 month old twins do not like being feed anymore. they have to feed themselves. they do love fresh fruits and veggies but a yummy way to disguise them is in omelettes... i'd tried some plain scrambled eggs if he hasn't had eggs yet but my babies loooove them.
and the gerber graduates are good and easy.

yes, gerber graduate meals all the way! my daughter doesnt like too many of them, but the ones she does like she will eat all the time.
get the pasta pick ups. my picky girl likes the unsauced ravioli flavors and the chicken and pasta wheels.
if you are only just beginning to have him self feed, gerber makes a whole line of starter learning snacks. the yogurt drops and lil crunchies sticks are great.

We went through something like this. I started buying the gerber graduate meals, big enough pieces for her to pick up herself. She eats them like crazy. It's good to let them self feed. Sometimes, if she isn't getting enough in her mouth, I'll stick a few bites in between her shoving stuff in.
