I have been noticing that my baby is getting white spots in her mouth where it looks like the formula is staining her mouth. Has anyone else seen this in their child or should I be worried?

I read up on the thrush and it seems like that may be what it is. Should I be worried and call the pediatrician or let it go away itself?

if it is only tiny spots on the gums it is most likely teeth coming up in the gums not thrush which is on the cheeks. hope that helps

My daughter has it at the moment and I'm treating it with Nystatin, which she really likes the taste of. If you are breastfeeding use a nipple guard as it can pass to you which u will then pass back. It is really common so don't worry :-)

It sounds like she may have thrush. It is very common, it's actually a yeast infection. you need to take her to the pediatrition and get her meds, if you are breastfeeding, you will have to apply a serum to your nipples too. its VERY common and easy to treat, good luck !!

Probably Thrush, need to have it checked out. My son had it and I didn't notice it, until it started spreading to other parts of his body!! Needs Antibiotics

my baby had thrush recently, we had to get Nystatin from our dr but it cleared up in a week. looks uncomfortable but he didn't seem to mind. its a yeast infection so its not contagious, but you do need meds to clear it up.

Its called Thrush, if its not that bad dont worry about it, but if it gets really bad, go to the doctor and they will give u medicine to help, but if it gets really bad, go to the doctor right away cause it can get so bad, that they wont wanna eat.

My son had this just recently, it doesnt go away on its on (it just gets worse). I took him to the Chemist and they gave me Nilstat drops that i had to put in his mouth (saved a trip & $$ on going to the doctors). Also check her nappy area as Liam had it there too. Looks sort of like nappy rash, but it needs a fungal cream to clear it up.

I would be tempted to see my gp or health visitor for antibiotics an i dont think it will go away on it's own. I wouldn't be too worried though as lots of babies get it, including breast fed ones so it's nothing you have done wrong.

My doctor said if it wipes of easily with a cloth it's just milk resedue. Also if there are spots on the cheeks that's probably thrush, the milk will only be on the tongue.

it could be oral thrush. check it out with your health visitor or gp. its not serious but may need antibiotics to clear it up
