My son is 7 1/2 months and for the last week he has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming. He has been sleeping throughout the night since he was 4 months old. The only way he clams down is if I cuddle him. Is this just a phase and if so when does it end?

My baby is also 7 1/2 months, she started doing this at about 6 months .... she is fast asleep but cries ... I either turn her or give her her dummy first before picking her up(dont want it to become a habit) But it could also be teething ...maybe try some teething jel?..... GOOD LUCK!

He is probably teething. My little girl has been going through the same thing for about a month. She had her two bottoms come in about 3 weeks, and more are making their way through. She is 8 months now. Try Hylands Teething Tablets and maybe a little tylenol for the really bad nights. I guess this can be a pretty long process for some babies so I would get cracking on finding out what sooths and calms yoru babies pain the best. Good luck! Oh, and also it might be a mix of teething with seperation anxiety- from what I am told it passes within a couple months so I hope I helped!!

lol it depends on the child.......this is my 5th child and they have all been different, some slept thru the night at an early age and never had any problems and then there was my 4th baby who didn't stop getting up at night until she was 18mths old.
good luck i hope its just a stage for yours!
