Our babies are getting ready to be a year old!! Wow how time flys! It is so crazy to me! It was so hard for me to imagine this time last year that I would be Christmas shopping for a baby that is almost 1! Now that we have our Christmas shopping all finished, we want to start planning our daughter's birthday party! She will be the big 1 on Feb. 3rd.! I can't wait, but at the same time, it makes me kind of sad to think that I won't have a baby anymore! We have gotten several things like cups, plates, napkins, and streamers, etc and they are all zebra print and hot pink! I loved them but some people told me that it wasn't very 1st birthday-ish. I'm not really a teddy bear party kind of girl like I think several people think I should be. I, of course, am going to use what I have and I love it. And, it doesn't matter to me what other people think. I have been wondering what other people are going to do their baby's party in and where they're going to have it located. Oh and I think that we are going to just have it at one of our local firestation conf rooms. The kids will get to see the truck and they have a puppy there also! She will be to little to enjoy the fire truck probley but I know that she will love the puppy.

It's so amazing that my little guy will be 1 soon. This time last year, I was waddling like crazy, and now it's his turn! lol!
I think the thing to remember about their 1 st birthday is that they won't remember it! We can do whatever we want and they won't really care. Enjoy that now while you can, cause next thing you know, they'll want parties with specific themes.
I'm going to do a Winnie the Pooh themed party. I'll probably make the cake myself, but going to go all out with the decorations. Having the party at my mom's house because my apartment is too small.
We have gone all out this year for everything because it is his first. Next year we will tone things down a little.

I'm just gonna have a small party for my daughter. I don't think we're gonna have a theme other than the color green cuz it's her favorite color so far. But i do know that we are going to make a tiny little chocolate cake for her to destroy :)

It is hard to imagine them being 1! My daughter's birthday is Feb. 18 which is a Friday and perfect for a birthday party! I'm thinking just family at our house and maybe Winnie the Pooh for a theme (but probably just as a theme in plates, cake, etc. Not going crazy with it). I chose that because she has lots of Winnie the Pooh toys and I'm thinking about re-doing her room in Pooh (because it doesn't really have a theme right now).

You do what you want; she's your baby!!

Pink Zebra theme is adorable!! My daughter has a pair of zebra striped pants, with a pink top to match that has a zebra striped heart on it! I get so many compliments on it. Its not too grown up, animal print and babies are very cute!! :) My daughter will be 1 on February 15th! I don't think we are going to have to big party for her tho. We will invite some family and friends to our house, and of course open prezzies, have her make a mess of a cake and sing happy b-day to her but she won't know whats going on anyway haha so I'm not going to go all out this year. I think for her 3rd birthday we will make a pretty big deal about it tho. I'll have to be careful because if you make one a big deal.. you have to do even better the next year and so on! LOL Have fun ladies with your soon-to-be 1 year olds!! So sad they aren't itty little babies anymore tho :( Sooo when do we start trying for the next?? LOL Juuust joking. ;)

my daughter will be 1 on Feb 28! yes it is crazy to think they will already be 1!! in a way i feel like its been forever since we brought her home, but then again.. it doesnt feel like she's a whole year old!
i am waiting on an approval for a party/multi-purpose room/kitchen at a local library. its pretty big and not very expensive to rent. if they don't approve it we are going to have it in a cabin at a local park.
i havent picked a theme yet. we will either do Backyardigans theme or like you are doing just a theme with colors.

love the pink & zebra idea by the way! i think its cute!

We just recently moved from Florida to Pennsylvania so I will throw my girl a party with her PA family on the day of her birthday, which is the 2nd, then we will fly to Florida for a party with my family down there a few days later.
I was thinking Care bears theme. They have a first birthday set of party stuff. I have a friend down in Florida making us a big Care bear cake and a small one for her to destroy. For PA, I haven't picked a theme yet, I was going to let her Grammy be a big part of the planning for it. I know Grammy has been waiting forever for a grand baby so she will be excited to help.

P.S. I think hot pink zebra is very stylish.
