im was pretty certain i was only ever going to have 2 children. i now have a 5 year old and 2 year old and as soon as she was born i `knew ' i was complete and no more kids for me and whenever anyone asked if theres going to be anymore the answer was a swift no ! so recently ive asked my husnband if he will get the snip which he seems pretty not pleased about so i looked into female steralisation but its costly and more of a pain.anyway for some odd reason more recently ive been thinking are we dead certain this it were only going to have 2 kids and thats that, half of me thinks its because my daughters approaching the age where it would be a nice gap if we had another, our time is running out im only 29 but i dont want to wait too much longer if we are going to have anymore but soooo much would change .i am alittle confused ,do we or dont we ?

anyone out there who had the 3rd child and found it soooo much hard work with 3

it seems so strange me evn asking this question like i said before i was pretty sure 2 was the only 2 i was ever goingto have ( we lost one at 3 motnhs before mdaughter was born and that almost cemented the fact that i am def only ever having 2 kids) but i think its because if he has the snip though it can be reversed i know thats it no more kids,im wighing up the fact that if i did have more it wouldnt be until my girl is at school so not for a couple of more years at least but im just wondering if im getting broody cos my little girl isnt a baby anymore and team that up with everything else etc, its hard to accept i wont have anymore kids yet im surprising my self that im even thinking of haveing more somewhere down the line did you feel thesame way?

i would not do anything permanent yet. I had my first son aged 21 and my second at 24 and then I had an enormous gap of 15 years before having another baby who turned out to be a girl. I was content with my sons although I had a wobble when my younger son was about 4 and going off to school. I got on with my life and put having any more children to the back of my mind. It was only when I decided to come off the pill for medical reasons and my husband voluntered to have the snip did I really start thinking about it again.

We even booked the vasectomy and on the way to the hospital I had a melt down and refused to sign the consent form. A couple of years later I have a little girl of 3 a 21 year old son and an 18 year old son. What I am trying to say is if you are not 100% sure that you dont want anymore children then have an IUD fitted or an implant. These can be removed if you wish. I enjoy having three kids but as two are adults already it is easy for me and she has two brothers who are like father figures and a daddy so she is one spoilt little girl.
