Who has started Potty training??? I think I will on Sunday!

i started potty training my lil boy 2 days ago he has wee'd everywhere but the potty on the up side when he has wee'd on the floor he says ooooh and shows me i just keep tellin him wee on potty and sitting him on it hopefully he will wee in potty soon x hes 21 months

Holly-Oh it is so, soo worth it! I would take either a friday or monday off if you're off on the weekend and it's only missing 1 day at work! It is very intense, but very worth!!

We started really potty training this past weekend! Just flat out put her in underwear! We had tried the 3 day potty training weekend a few months ago, but she just wasn't fully ready then. Last week she had finally started going potty more for me, so I just decided this weekend was time to just get in undies. We used a potty chart for her to put her snoopy stickers on everytime she would go. This is the 3rd day she has been in underwear and she's had Zero accidents today!! She had a few on Saturday and then 2 yesterday, but zero today. She didn't like the way it felt when she peed on herself, so now she doesn't want to do it again! And the potty chart she is really having an awesome time with! So we have a routine with it. She gets on the potty when she wakes up, before we leave the house (which is a very important), before nap and bed, and then any other time in between that she tells me or I have her get on. We still have her in a diaper for bed time until we get her a toddler bed that she can get out of to go potty in the middle of the night if need be because its about 50/50 waking up wet or dry, but she is in her undies for nap! I've started potty training my daughter. Try to start a routine, every morning when she wakes up, we put her on the pot and she use it with no problem. She says pot when she has to go but usually she has already started using it. She's getting better and better as time goes on. Try to put her on the pot every chance you get so she can get more comfortable with it.

Sounds intense for those 3 days but I'm seriously thinking about it. I would probably have to take some vacation time from work but I might consider it.

Oh and they dont need to be talking as long as they communicate with you! My daughter is a huge talker but she always grabs for vagina and say 'Mommy, I go peepee! I got peepee!' They show signs when they have to potty just like babies do when they are hungry! Good luck!

We potty trained out daughter a 18 months! We did the '3 day potty training' method! Ugh! I advise all parents to use it! At 18 months she was completely potty trained in 2 days!!! Yes 2 days!! Even at night!! They say NO diaper and NO pull ups (even at night!!)! Just take it away and only big boy/girl underwear/panties! You can find several different 3 day methods online but most of them are all the same. Also they say don't put you toddler on the potty and wait for them to go because then it feels like a time out to them!! I tried that when she was 15 months and it pushed her away, big time! Let them run around in their panties and when they start to go run to the bathroom! You just have to watch constantly and never let them leave you side! Stay at home the entire 3 days, and reward even for the most teeny-tiny little dribbles!

My daughter is interested in the potty but she doesn't always want to use it...I've wondered how agressively I should be trying as well. Am interested in hearing what people post. Let me know how it goes, Loris!

I have started this week too and my boy is 20 months also. He is doing super well and wees now on the potty without being told to. We have some accidents but we are going out with a potty and he is wearing pants. He pees in the potty in the boot of the car before we go and when we get to where we are going and likewise before we leave. I found that having him naked on the botton when we are home helps and starting off by just having him naked and doing wees and telling him ohhh thats a weewee so he knows the sensation and what it means.
