My bb is not sleeping through the night at 10 months now. She still nurses and at least always wakes around midnight to feed, but lately she is waking more frequently (like every 2-3 hrs) and going to bed super late like 8-9. when it is usually 6:30-7. I thought teething but she seems in good spirits and isn't cranky. She tugs on her ear a lot but she just got over an ear infection that the doctor said was all clear. We don't do the cry it out method, she goes to sleep when she is tired, we don't force it at any particular time, we just keep a consistent routine and that seems to get her to bed at a normal time. What is going on? and Is ok she isn't sleeping straight through the night? I'm dying from lack of sleep! Is this a phase?

thanks! i hope this is a short phase. i'm so happy to hear other's are not sleeping through the night. i meet so many that say their child is sleeping through the night at like 5 months! it's hard to hear, i feel like i'm doing something wrong. as tired as i am, i do love the nighttime cuddling she needs. daytime she is off getting into things.

My son is 10 months old and still does not sleep through the night. It will pass, he just isn't ready I guess. Children can have trouble sleeping when hitting milestones. It could be teething, separation anxiety, learning something new and not wanting to stop "practicing", etc. All I can saw is Hang In There, that's what I am doing!!

My daughter just started waking in the night at 10 months too. I've read that it could be seperation anxiety, so if that's the case, it is just a phase. I hope it's a short phase!!
