Just wondering. To anyone else that this will be there 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc baby, Did you notice back or hip pain sooner with the later kids than with the first. I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and am already having pain in my back and hips. I'm not sure if it's due t the baby always sitting so low or if it's just one of the joys of having more than one child. One other thought. Has anyone else not gained any weight yet?

Fourth pregnancy for me. I am at 25 weeks. And the back and hip pain has gradually gotten worse and sooner with each baby. My doc says it is because my body knows what it is doing and so it just starts to relax my muscles and ligaments sooner than a first pregnancy. This time, I even looked like I was six months pregnant when I was four months along. And I have only gained 6 lbs. My doc said to take some tylenol right before bed, that way I can get a little bit of sleep without tossing and turning the whole night because my hips were causing me pain. And the hubby has been helping out with improptu lower back rubs has he hugs me. It helps and brings a smile to my face.

yes this pregnancy, which is my 3rd I noticed everything sooner. my pubic bone, hips and back. Should have been like this the first two times and then #3 wouldn't be. I keep losing weight due to the fact that I still hadn't lost most of my weight from my 22 month old. Baby is fine and I am definetely looking like Im 5 months pregnant just losing weight everywhere else.

I've now gained a total of 1.5lbs according to the dr office tho my scale at home shows differently. I am showing quite well now tho. I actually measured 26 weeks and my appointment for 23 weeks so it looks like I'm gonna have another big baby. They don't have me on anything for the back issues but I haven't told them about it. I think a lot of mine is from an injury I got a while back.

I am in incredible back pain...so bad that I am on muscle relaxers and pain meds. I also have not gained much weight and most people say I'm not showing yet. So much different from the last pregnancy (this is my second).

I had back pain from 2 months with this second pregnancy, constant back pain. I didn't have back pain till about 6 months with the first one.

I was wondering the same and asked my dr only last week. Im almost 21weeks and my pelvis/groin is sooooo achy and he said its due to the relaxin hormone kicking in quicker with this one. This is my 2nd viable pregnancy (3rd otherwise) My sciatic keeps pinching too

I think I may have gained about 5 pounds so far. It's different for every woman. :)

I have so far not gained any weight. I lost weight in the first few months then gained a tiny bit back then lost again and now have stayed at the same weight for the past month. I know my dr won't be happy about my lack of weight gain but at least I'm not losing any more

I am having pain in my back and hips too!! EH! I didn't the first time at all until I was in labor! I have all kinds of back pain and pain in my hips but she is laying in between my hips like she is in a hamock! I am pretty sure that is where the pain is coming from. I finally gained 2 lbs!! I was so happy...I had lost 15 lbs and at my last visit I gained 2!

Yes, I'm having back and hip pain already and I didn't have that with my first until I was almost 7 months along. But I also think the baby is riding really low this pregnancy, too.
