I'm bottle feeding from day one. I have a very serious pre-existing medical condition and have to go back on medication to regulate it after the baby is born. Originally I wanted to breastfeed, but the more I talked to my doctors and researched the risks of staying off my meds for an additional 3-6 months (I'll already have stayed off them for 9 months) it's just too much of a danger to my health. It won't do my daughter much good to be breastfed if her mommy is too sick to take care of any of her other needs beyond getting her latched on (and I might have trouble even holding her to nurse).

Breastfeed. There are several benefits to breastfeeding!
It's healthier for the baby. It's cheaper, It's more convenient. It helps you lose the weight from pregnancy faster. Studies have shown that a mother that breastfeeds has less chances of getting breast cancer than those that don't. It can be expressed and given in a bottle if the act of breastfeeding is too uncomfortable to someone. You are able to give YOUR baby something NO ONE ELSE can give him/her. It develops a wonderful bond between mother and baby. Makes for a great excuse to sit down and relax for a few several times through out the day so that you can feed your baby. The list could go on and on!

I find breastfeeding is the best for both mum & baby it gives you a special bond with baby pluss it's cheap, healthy & ready on the go. i admitt it's not easy it takes time & patients, i'm not against bottle feeding but urge you to try espressing into a bottle before you use formula because there are ppl like my sister who was breastfeeding and now she has no choice to use fomula because she has cancer and has to have kimo. so that was taken out of her hand's but good luck on what you decide to do.
