How is your babies eating and sleeping schedules?
Most people won't agree with this and I didn't at first but tried it and glad I did....I know when my son was first born the health nurse told me that during the day if he wasn't up by the 3rd hour after his last feeding then to wake him and then at night he should sleep better. We tried that and after the second day he was sleeping better at night and on and off during the day. We stopped doing it after a week and now he pretty much wakes up by himself during the day around 3-4 hours after his last feeding and goes to bed between 8-10pm and sleeps anywhere from 8-10 hours, sometimes 12 which I love. We still have the odd night where he's awake til midnight but he will also sleep til at least 6am before he feeds again and go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours before being up for the day. He also eats 4 oz everytime. I also found that I have to bathe him in the afternoon between 1-3pm when I bathe him every 3rd day cause if I bathe him any later, then his schedule is mixed up. Cause after his bath I never know if he'll sleep for 4 or more hours then be awake for the same or vice versa. So I bathe him in the afternoon to keep him on a schedule.

my daughter is 3 months, and I'm not sure how many ounces she eats since I breast feed but at night she usually has her "good" sleep starting around 10 and she will sleep for about 3-4 hours then wake up to eat, and for a change then she is up every 2 hours after that. During the day she doesn't nap =/ maybe for about 20-30 minutes, sometimes an hour. According to the pediatrician its normal and once she starts getting more active she will be back on a napping schedule

My baby girl is 12 weeks old now. She nurses 99% of the time so i dont know how much she eats each time but when i give her a bottle of breastmilk she eats anywhere from 5 to 8 oz a feeding. she usually eats every 3-4 hours during the day and generally sleeps thru the night from around 8/9pm til 6am or later.

My daughter Kira is now 10 weeks, she has 6 feeds of 6oz feeds a day. Her last feed is at 11pm then she sleeps from 11.30pm until 6.30-7am. She feeds at 7am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 7.30pm then 11pm. She's like clock work. Both my boys were encouraged to adapt a routine asap and she was no different. my boys were sleeping through at 6 weeks and Kira was 8 weeks. I don't ideally believe in waking a baby for feeds but the last bottle i normally do if not already awake. Although i have been blessed with three really good babies and i do feel for new mums with more challenging baby's. Stick with it, stay positive and baby will benefit from your positivity and progress to a suitable routine.

My son, 13 weeks, eats about 4-7 ounces every 3 hours- depends on his reflux. Is a bit of a "spitter-upper", But has been starting to sleep more through the night. Last night he did 10 1/2 hours! Which is great, but not consistent yet!
I was told by the health nurse when my son was 4 days old to wake him if he's not up by 3 hours after his last feeding to get him on a schedule for night time. I did that for about 1 week and then he was good and didn't have his days and night's mixed up.
I only did this in the daytime, not in the night. I let him wake when he did in the night.

I dont think she should be eating so little, but she has reflux pretty bad so I think thats why she eats so little! It got really bad to the point she was eating 2 ounces ever 3 to 4 hours. We switched her formula and she is doing SO much better! It makes me wish I could have stuck with bf (pumping really bc she would only take bottles). I wish my daughter would start sleeping better at night again too! Makes me wish I felt comfortable and agreed with co-sleeping! Im hoping once she starts cereal in 20 days that she will sleep better! With my son I didnt care at all! He didn't sleep through the night till 2ish! I thought it was normal and that no ones babies slept. now I hear about 2 week olds sleeping 8 and 9 hours...which I was told you are suppose to wake them for feedings bc it isnt healthy to allow that! Any way...that just drives me crazy and wish Zoey would sleep better! She is 14 weeks and without any good sleep I just dont feel right! I have such broken sleep and I do believe that sleep deprivation does make a person lose their sanity (even if it is temporary!p

Kayden doesnt have a schedule. He sleeps whenever and eats when he is hungry. He was on a pretty good one for a while, but now its all over the place. He was up to sleeping about a 7 hour stetch through the night. It was awesome! But now he sleeps about 3 hours, then is up for 2. I hope he gets back on some sort of schedule soon, momma needs her sleep!
