Lack of weight gain.

I am also a big girl and have put on about 5kg now - but baby is a good size:) now if i can get away with only baby weight in the next 7 weeks i will be so happy :)

I lost 15 at the beginning, & so far, I ended up gaining 10 of it back (around Christmas & New Years) because of all the food I ate. =[ But I haven't gained any weight since again. Unless the doctor tells you that you should be gaining weight, or is concerned about the size of the baby, I wouldn't be concerned.

I wish I could be happy with my lack of weight gain, but it's been an ongoing battle for me. (i'm currently 31 wks with twins, have to be induced by February 25th.)

I lost 20 lbs in the first trimester partialy due to morning sickness, then another 10 in the second trimester, not sure why. Since about 5 months pregnant I've been on a high fat (good fats obviously), high calorie diet with suppelements and have only managed to gain back just shy of 7 lbs. My babies are growing fine, but the concern is pre-term labor, there's a rule of thumb with twins, gain 24 lbs by 24 wks or double your chances of pre-term labor. I'm crossing my fingers we make it to *at least* 36 wks!

I am doing the same thing. I didn't gain weight my first couple months due to being sick, then I gained about 10lbs in 2 months and nothing in the past 2 1/2 almost 3 months. I don't mind since I already weighed more than I'd like and the dr is ok with me only gaining the 10lbs.

same hear i've only gained 1kg witch is only 2-3 lbs i think, with my son i gained 17 kg so i'm happy. i think this time i haven't gained much is because 1, i had morning sickness for 5 month's, 2, i have a 3 year old to run after & 3, because i'm keeping pretty active because i am a bit over weight anyway. i'm not to concerned either since they say i have GDB and say that my baby might be big? i'm happy no matter what i have not been dieting so i wouldn't worry.

i was up to 20 lbs as of my last check up, almost 2 weeks ago. I didnt gain much in the beginning. alot in the middle, and now not much at all. i have had the flu the past week, and weighed myself. i am down 7 lbs. but that was on my scale, nearly naked. i am making sure i eat well before my next check up so they dont frown on me if ive lost weight. i think 20-30 lbs is a healthy amount to gain. everyone is different. i had gestational diabetes with my first and gained about 32 lbs. lost about 20 of that within a couple weeks of having my daughter. then in the next year i had lost another 20 plus pounds. i was so happy to be below my pre pregnancy weight and had a decent body again. i look forward to having this baby. then working on getting my body back. im sure ill be able to do it, chasing a toddler around and caring for a newborn!

I've gained 30lbs so far but I did 40 with my last 2 and I'm not overweight. I also have gestational diabetes this time around so I haven't gained hardly any weight in the last month and a half which is kinda nice. I'm all belly this time around.

I have done well this pregnancy/ I have only gained 3kg which is great as I am over weight anyway. I am proud of myself as normally I gain between 30 and 40kg during pregnancy.
I was worried about it but my midwife said its fine.
