What stage of food are you feeding your LO?

I recently started feeding Brayden Stage 1 Gerber foods. He was about 4 months and 2 weeks when we started. He is now 5 months old. I took him to daycare and they have all stage 2 foods. I was wondering what other moms would do in this situation. I tried to read about the difference in the two stages and came to the conclusion there really isn't any difference. Stage 2 is just a little thicker than 1 but alot of people didn't start 2 til 6 months. I just want to know if I should stay with stage 1 and tell the daycare not to do stage 2 until 6 months or if I shouldn't worry about it. Any help or suggestions would be great!

I would think stage two would be fine. My daughter is 5 months and 1 week. I started her trying foods around 4 and half months, but I make all of her food. She has had so far banana, sweet potato, carrots, peas, prunes, and apples. The sweet potato is thicker than the others and she does fine with it. One of her favorites.

My baby girl just turned 5 months but when i buy jarred baby food i am now getting stage 2. the stage one jars aren't enough for her any more

i say it's up to you i'm starting stage 2 now because my daughter is nearly 6 month's old, plus i have just started her with weetbix with breastmilk plus banana because she didn't like the rice cereal, i have mainly been giving her pumpkin, carrot, green's, apple, banana & pear now i have started to make soup's with lot's of veggies and blending it since we have not had any reactions and as you say mainly stage 2 is thicker they will let you know if they can tolerate it either cough or want more, either way no harm done. my lo can't get enough of food you see there eye's light up with excitement but still only give her a certain amount good luck.
