I've read all the info about waiting as long as possible to start my baby on solids. my doctor said at our 2 month appt that my baby weighs enough to start him but he'd rather i hold off. the problem is, he is so big (17 1/2 lbs at 11 weeks) that he can't get enough formula and because i can't breastfeed (milk allergy) we are going through the stuff like mad. is it too early?

When I introduced solids I found this thing at wall mart it was a small thing with a handle and a mesh pouch I put the solids in that they chew on it they get the nutrients they need without dangerous chunks it was fun to chew on and an easy transition from a nipple
