every kid is different. My 7 month old just started rolling around about a month ago. She just starting on soft solid foods like those lil puffy things gerber makes for crawlers. she grabs for toys pulls hair. and about a week ago started saying dada. My oldest at that age was already crawling and I don't see my daughter doing that soon maybe another month. So yea kids are all different it's what you encourage them to do. My nephew was walking by that age. See

Typically at 7 months a baby can sit on their own, roll in both directions, reach for and grasp toys intentionally, mouth toys, begin babbling (bababa, mamama, ect), eat mashed foods, and many other things. Hopefully this link will be useful for you.

The best answer to your question is getting the book "what to expect whe expecting" and "what to expect the toddler years" two awesome books and it has everything you want to know in them and even tells you what they should be doing at every age
