I have both kids in school finally!!! The problem for me is that Im not motivated to do anything while they are in school much less when they are home. I want to be a kind of mom/wife that is motivated to get healthy and set an example for my children and see that their mommy is not lazy. Usually morning routine or lack there of is....get up, dressed, breakfast and off to school, I come home and veg on the couch and sleep sometimes and I need to be motivated to excercise and clean my home when I come home and eat ( sometimes I dont eat and get headaches and tired). Im so frustrated with myself b/c I have became lazy and I was at my dr.s office the other day and Im overweight (currently 183 lbs) not happy with that but I am who I am right now and I dont like it when I have to look in the mirror. So, please help!!! Thankyou!!!

I'm a life coach who works with moms. I do 90% of my sessions over the phone or webex. It makes it easy for busy moms to make their appointments. If you were my client, I would first connect your desired goal with the deepest possible value to you. Why? do you want this? What will it give you that's really important? Who will be effected by you being motivated to get healthy? Once it's really clear to you how important it is and why, then we would set a vision for the future. Because its hard to work towards something if we haven't first set that goal in our heart and mind:) It's a fun and rewarding process, because you're guaranteed to be successful when you move forward only when it's completely clear that it's something really worth moving towards. And you have an accountability partner for support encouragement and a reminder why you're doing it. And taking small baby steps is perfectly ok:)

Let me tell you, i had my baby girl 3 months ago and when i stepped on the scale i was very upset. To get motivated i looked at old pictures of myself, and it helped that summer was right around the corner. I made a conscious effort to workout at least 4 times a week, i started gradually with walking 20 minutes then 40 minutes then i started running. I got rid of the junk food int he house and i posted a picture of how i wanted to look and feel again. I was lucky to keep focus, and i ended up losing all of the excess weight in 3 months. You can do this!! Sometimes you need a jump start, maybe try some green tea in the morning, after you take the kids to school, go straight to the gym (if you can, get a gym membership, they help because you want to get your moneys worth!) then when you're finished come home and nap. At night time prepare a healthy lunch or dinner for yourself for the next day so you don't have the worry about not eating!

STAY FOCUSED, remember you can do this, it is possible, and you will get back to your old self in no time.

Find out your WHY, your reason why you desire the change. Try and set a schedule for your self for just a week, don't make it too strict, make obtainable measurable goals. Try to fit in some type of fitness, either before the kids get up (you get it over with), or while they are at school. Start with 30 min 3x week. Find a buddy to keep you accountable. If not in real life, then online! I would love to be an accountability buddy, if you still need one, let me know!

We are in the same boat. I only have to lost 10 to 15 pds. I am waiting for my period to end so I can start to work out. I need to get back I have notice even when you just diet with no exercise ou still not losing. You have to work out in order to get in shape. I am waiting for my FH to get paid so he can give me 150 dollars to pay for the gym classes. I know exactly what you mean. When my son goes to school I am still not feeling it. Ugh Even if you think 10 to 15 pds is not a lot well to me it is. I am short 4ft10 in so imagine how plump I am lol no seriously I need to lose it. I am just waiting for my period to come after that it's game time. I feel bloated so it won't help.

Sometimes all it takes is to get started. What kind of exercise programs have you liked doing in the past? I fell into a similar situation as you are going through right now, my daughter is disabled and when my kids were in school I just wanted to veg!! I ended up gaining 35-40lbs my clothes didn't fit, I had no energy, hated looking in the mirror and I wouldn't go anywhere because I was so ashamed and uncomfortable in my own skin. Haven't ever really liked running so I wanted to start running and do something out of my comfort zone. I followed a program called Couch to 5K it gradually increased week by week at the end I was so proud to have graduated that I kept being active. It helps to have an accountability group to keep you motivated whether it is in person or online. If you need someone to help keep you accountable let me know now I am training for a half marathon and need all the help I can get too!! You can do this!!
