I am the mommy to a sibling set of three beautiful children, ages 4, 2, and 1. They were placed into our arms forever 6 months ago. My 1 and 2 y/o are doing very well, but my 4 y/o is still having some transitional issues. Her therapist has told us that she thinks she may be on the mild end of the RAD spectrum.

Any other mommies out there who are dealing with this? Any suggestions on what to do to help aide her transition and have her work through this? I am at a loss!

Good luck to you Lyndsay. We had a long term foster child (she was six when she came to us) who had so many issues and after us pushing for testing on her, it was determined she had RAD. I found Nancy Thomas' book "When Love is Not Enough" to be helpful and it made me realize the issue was not because I was a bad mom, it was because of the child's past. My husband and I also purchased DVD's by Nancy Thomas and she explains some methods on how to handle these kids. it's so sad to see a child go through tantrums, etc and it can wear the parent out as well. Again, good luck to you.
