we just got out WII and so far so good. my daughter is up and moving , and we play just dance all the time. i need more recommendation's for more active sports competition type games. we have xbox 360, and ps2 also.

rock band is very active, especially if you play the drums. my 4 year old sings and dances around. its so cute! so we are able to play as a family. it is so much fun. the Lego rock band has all the 'kid friendly' songs, ghost busters and music from Car's and other old school fun sing alongs. 'walk like an Egyptian' not to mention tones of top 40 music. .... ++ its not DDR but it can get you going if you get into it. not great if you have down stairs neighbors, but very very fun. we have friends bring over other 'expansions' or instruments and such and it becomes 'band night'. its a great investment for a game- lego is easily found for repurchase, we got it for under 20$. and you can put xbox or wii points to get music you love to sing in the car. max 2 bucks a song, and most are free.
