i have been on the depo for 3 yrs and have been off of it for 4 months now has anyone ever been on it and got off to get preggo an how long did it take you to get preggo?

And my doctor told me that if your bleeding then your producing eggs. But what alot of women dont understand is theres only a 48 hour period that your body releases these eggs. But you ovulate for a week because sperm can live up to five days. Hope this helps.

I was on the Depo for 3 years and it took me exactly a year to get pregnant with my son. It takes time but dont worry it will happen! good luck!

I was on Depo for 1 year and it took excatly 2 years from the time my last shot run out for me to conceive, sorry that is probably not what you wanted to hear but i have heard since, that apparetnly this is normal and that Depo does cause some problems after when it comes to conceiving. But no one told me that at the time otherwise i would of not gone on it. But my doctor told me that the depo cause me to stop ovulating, i was still getting a period (not very regularly thou) but was not ovulating properly.So my advice would be to ask your doctor about it and dont wait too late, i waited for like a year before i consulted a doctor about my problems and i do wish i hadn't waited so long. I was put on metformin for three months and at the end of the three months i fell pregnant. So good luck!!
