Thinking about TTC second, but had to take Clomid to conceive daughter

I had to take Clomid to conceive my daughter. I was ovulating, however my "egg quality" level was on the lower side for my age (28 at the time) so my dr. prescribed Clomid so I would drop more eggs and that hopefully one of them would be a winner. Thankfully, that was the case with DD!

My daughter is 7 months and still breastfeeding. I want to start TTC again soon out of fear that my level will continue to go down. I've read a lot of things that doctors will not prescribe Clomid to breastfeeding moms. My question is, could I continue to nurse, however, pump and dump during those 5 days of Clomid? I would hate to wean her just to take the Clomid and then end up getting my period.
