Mother Teresa said, "Joy is not the absence of suffering, but the presence of God."

I want to remember the JOY of motherhood. Yes, there is suffering in it too--right from pregnancy and childbirth up through the difficult teen years. But what I remember the most is the JOY.

Tell me about your joyful moments and how God has helped you through the sufferings.

This is my first reply! I just remember my first daughter's early teenage years being such a hard tearful time! Her on one side of the bedroom door and me on the other side! One night I wrote out a prayer about what I wanted for her future, her husband to be, her happiness etc. I found it the other day and what an amazing answer to prayer I have already seen! It's now 7 years later, she is happily married an 32 weeks pregnant with my first granddaughter! God will get you though the hard times and the Joy is what remains!
