Let's start off this new local community by sharing some great places to take the kids. Suggest parks, museums, etc. that have kid-friendly exhibits and/or prices!

The Academy of Natural Sciences is a great place for kids. They have dinosaur bones, taxidermied animals, a place to observe their wild rescued animals, and a room upstairs dedicated to a hands on learning experience for kids. They are encouraged to pet the bunny, touch the lizard, watch the fishes, hold the hissing cockroaches, visit with their bird and giant tortise, crawl through tunnels, dig, and explore and learn about nature. My favorite place.

The Philadelphia Zoo- always the greatest!! I kept a family membership for years, which included guest passes & invites to special events-- the membership cost me pretty much the same as one visit would have with my three kids & we were able to return whenever we wanted without requiring much cash since admission was covered!!
