Hi. I have a 5 month old daughter and am living in East York Toronto. We moved here a week after I gave birth so I never got the chance to get out and meet people around the area. Other than baby or my own doctor appointments I do not tend to get out of the house. We have no family close by or any friends. I was wondering if anyone knew of any baby groups close by that we could get into to start getting out of the house and meet new people.

I'm not sure where exactly in your area it would be, but check out an Ontario Early Years Centre. They offer free pgoramming for babies and parents

The early years programs are great. Also try the libary, they have some reading programs for moms and babies.

Definitely check out the Ontario Early Years centres. They offer all kinds of programs and it will give you a chance to meet other moms. I live in an apartment building and I have an OEYC right in my building -- I go there all the time, I think they're fantastic!

Check the YMCA and there is a free program through the Ontario government called "Ontario Early Years". They have centres throughout the GTA and all of their programs are free. I have been to a few classes and its great! You meet moms and kids enjoy playing.
