Hi everyone, I am a mom of 2, but only my 5 yr old son had problems with allergies, hives, and eczema. We lived in Oklahoma, Alaska, and now Texas. When we moved to Alaska his problems gotten worse and almost unbearable mainly because eventually after going to an allergist we found out that he was allergic to birch and alder which was very high and known in Alaska. So dealing with so many doctors, we bought all unscented items(laundry soap, bar soap)eucerin, aquaphor, vaseline; he was prescribed zyrtec, benadryl, hydrocortisone, elidel, u name it we used it!! Trying to keep his skin moisturized and keep him from sneezing and looking so red and hived. Finally we moved to TX and thinking that because he was away from the birch that he was allergic to things would be better for him. Well, it was better as far as the hives and allergies, but he still had the eczema. So new place, new doctors of course they kept him with the eucerin and aquaphor and still had to buy a "free and clear" laundry soap just for him. It still really wasnt keeping his skin from drying up no matter how many times we creamed him up. I got tired of spending all that money, so I found this health and wellness store that is solely on selling products thats non-toxic and free from harsh chemicals. I became a member and started using all their household products removing all the chemicals from my home. There is also a lotion they have that is called "RENEW" that is specifically for eczema/psoriasis/dry skin and I started using their bar soap that exfoliates and of course their laundry soap, now mind you before I was using all "unscented" items. Now with this "green store" the things I use for my son is all "scented" and is absolutely amazed at how well it has worked for my son. So going green is definitely the way to go! In conclusion if you would like to find out the store that I have switched to in making my home healthier and my son's life easier, please go to my website www.parentsgogreen.com #relievedmom

NYR Organic Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Baby Balm are also great for eczema.

Nakia & Katrina are right! :) Anyone with a Melaleuca account can help anyone else get their account set up. It's very easy! There are few geographical limits. But I know some people prefer to do this in person. And generally speaking it is possible to find someone local if that's what a person wants. I'd be happy to help someone do that because even if that person doesn't come into my particular team it's still good that they are getting connected to the products as that is something that will make their life better. Anything we can do to remove toxins from our lives is a good thing. Anything we can do to help others do that too is also good because it will mean fewer toxins being used and less being produced eventually.

And like Nakia, I know of people who have cancelled their account quite simply... in a matter minutes over the phone and at most 72 hours (if a weekend or holiday is involved) later it's "in the system" and their account is closed.

As for scams... the internet contains info of all kinds - some completely false. For anyone wanting info - go to the source - check out all the possible links and connections to others - know your source well enough to trust it. :)

FWIW - I had three prior opportunities to hear what Melaleuca was about and declined, thinking it was MLM or some sort of scam because no one was telling me as much as I wanted to know. There's a really good reason why we don't... just talking (or chatting, or emailing) for a little bit doesn't give the consumer the full scope of what they are about to SEE. One person explained that much to me, and then I agreed to watch the presentation online. She's totally right - talking can't possibly do it justice! 2 of the people I turned down earlier I still can't find; but the 3rd one I did call - she had cancelled her account by then - but now she's back as a customer and we're working together to make life for our families better in the future! Renew was the starting point for many of us!

Everyone who is a customer w/Melaleuca can also help people set up their own personal account with the company. As far as I know, we all work with people all over the country. Non of us personally sell the products, each person orders directly from the company.

I agree with Katrina. Melaleuca is a wonderful company. I have been shopping with them for almost 6 years now and able to earn income from home. I would NEVER return to buying toxic products from off the shelf. I also know of people who have cancelled with no problem and since have become customers again. It's definetly not a scam! I would not be a customer for almost 6 years if it was.

To Kat Wszolek, who wrote: "we have a whole foods/coop where i live. do you think tthey sell renew?"
Sorry, you won't find Renew for retail sale unless you go to Idaho (home of Melaleuca). And you usually won't find anyone who keeps a stock of it either. But you could possibly find someone near you who is a member and can help you in person to get your account set up. :) I don't know where you're at yet but I can help you to get an account if you'd like. I help people via email and/or phone all the time. :) There is a "full line" of Renew products - lotion, hand wash, body wash, bath oil - all designed to help skin heal and become "baby soft" again. My daughters have not had an eczema break out even a bit since we got it all healed up. My most sensitive daughter will get red spots (like we're used to seeing grow worse and worse in a few days) but right away increases her use of Renew on that spot and it never gets worse anymore, instead it fades away in a day or so!!! :) I honestly don't know why more dermatologists don't recommend this except that they know they will lose patients with it. We have no more need to see the dermatologist on a regular basis!
We do also use only Melaleuca laundry products and household cleaners too now so that probably helps too. But it's still amazing - with all we've tried over 18 years to get them relief from eczema!!! ONE application of Renew lotion brought immediate relief like nothing we'd ever tried before!
It is so worth the little extra effort to start getting it - and then "piece of cake" to always have on hand after that!

Melaleuca is a wonderful company. You agree to become a member before you give your financial info. I have known several ppl who signed out & did not have any problems. They also decided to rejoin down the road

I was looking into this online and I found some information that was saying that Malaleuca, the company that makes Renew, is a scam and that once they get your credit info they you are all the sudden a "member". Supposedly, once you realize this and try to cancel your "membership" they make it really difficult. etc. However, on bbb.org they say they are an A+ accredited company, which is strange because they have had a LOT of complaints.... I would say be careful...

we have a whole foods/coop where i live. do you think tthey sell renew? My son has had the same ecsama spots forr a few months now. So its a lotion? What bathe wash do any of you recommend? I need to find something that works. My ped only recommended Aveeno, which is made by Johnson and Johnson. I dont think these are great products. Lots of junk ingredients. What do you all think? Im new to the circle of moms. Thx for any info :)

Lily,
Baby acne should go away. If it doesn't then it's most likely another skin problem.
