I have recently heard of this too! It is sad the way these companies are cutting back for the almighty dollar. I wonder if any of the CEO's allow their families to use these products knowing what's in them? I switched and started shopping at a different store that cares about the people and their products are so safe that they don't have safety caps on their cleaning products!

Top chemicals to avoid:
Parabens
1,4 Dioxane
SLS or SLES
anything ending in "cone" (eg. Dimethicone)
BHA & BHT
Petrolateum
Dibutyl Phthalates
Fragrance/Parfum
Methylisothiazolinone
PEG Compounds
Siloxanes
Triclosan
Oxybenzone

But unfortunately those names go under other names as well. It's a scary world!

That's nasty but not surprising. One of the reasons why I started my own store, so I KNEW what was in the products and only using safe ingredients. It's super scary what the FDA does allow in products, especially by product ingredients that don't have to appear on labels. And anything that says fragrance will be made of many, many chemicals that won't be individually listed either - scary!

I would check the ingredients list. I don't believe that Johnson & Johnson is truly "Natural". They are just trying to get that corner of the market share too. Putting "natural" on the product description is not regulated meaning they don't have to follow any criteria to put the word natural on their product.

Hey Melissa, Its all about the almighty dollar. They are using cheaper and more harmful, however effective ingredients, so that they make us feel like we are saving money by spending less but in the end it costs us in health care because these products are making us all sick. Our children sick! All they care about is profit. They don't have to list all the ingredients that are in their products. The word "GREEN" is not regulated so there for they can say they are green, don't have to list ingredients and we buy it. I don't buy any household products in the grocery store anymore. Just food and paper products and that is it. For example, if chlorox (GREEN WORKS) was truely a "green company" and committed to the environment wouldn't they discontinue making their other products that aren't green. No, they just want to get their share of the market of the consumers that are going green but keep their share of market in the toxic shopping consumers too. Its all about choices and hopefully people will start to educate themselves and stop buying these toxic products that are not only harming our families but also our planet. When people stop buying and make healthier choices these companies will be forced to top making these toxic products. Good for you Melissa on educating yourself and family on this. One family at a time.....

Thanks for sharing...I have just begun to research so many things found in baby products and frankily I want to sue all of the companies that are big names for schemeing us into trusting them!!! This needs to change and congress needs to tuffenup on the chemicals out there...no wonder why someone dies of cancer every minute in this world....It needs to change for our babies generation!
