remove all toxic products from the home (this means probably every cleaning product you currently use), including air fresheners (and from your cars) they are at the top of the bad list! Perfumes, personal care products, lotions, you name it. With all the synthetic chemicals we think we must use, their poor little bodies and our own bodies are on chemical over load! I never knew how my sense of smell had been effected until after switching from store bought toxic cleaning products to all natural. Now when I enter a public restroom I nearly gag over the smell of the toxic products they use. Asthma has increased by 600% in the last years. Then battle the healing process with proper nutrition as well. EWG.org is a great resource.

Hi Fanchon, Are you still using products in your home that are toxic or that have harsh chemical? The laundry soap you use can affect asthma and alleries as well as your bathroom cleaners and automatic dish soap steam. Bleach is extremely toxic and harmful to people with asthma.

I removed all the harsh products from my home and replaced them with natural non-toxic products. I saw my 6 yr old sons eczema completely clear up and his chronic runny nose go away. Not to mention I no longer have to hold my breath while cleaning my bathroom. If you are interested in hearing about the natural products that are the best I have tried and are reasonably priced compared to what you buy in the health food stores I would love to share that with you.

Take a healthy home tour and find out what is toxic and harmful in your home.

You also might want to consider having your furnace ducts cleaned out and also have your home checked for to much moisture which can cause mold. We are not born with these conditions so it is definitley something going on with them that can be fixed once you find the cause.

Good luck and if I can help let me know, Denise

Both my girls suffered from asthma, eczema, skin and food allergies. It is one of the reasons I started my business, Nature's Baby Organics. We avoid synthetic fragrances and chemicals, we eat a mix of organics and both my girls took probiotics. We also had really good results from a treatment called NAET. It seems like total hocus pocus but I was at the point where I would try anything. My youngest had been sick for a year straight with round the clock breathing treatments and constant antibiotics. You can look them up on-line at www.naet.com. I ordered one of their books and then found a practioner near me. It was life changing for us.

Warmly,

Get the chemicals out of your home! If a shopping decision saved your kids from years of misery wouldn't it be worth it? We are almost 4 years allergy and eczema free. It was the best decision I ever made. I shop at Melaleuca and their prices are comparable to grocery store products with safer ingredients. If you know someone who can refer you, that is awesome. If you don't know anything about them I would be happy to introduce you. I'm not trying to sell you anything- I will just give you the details to shop with them. Try them- if it doesn't work then go back to Target or Walmart. But you won't know if you don't try. Message me if you would like more info.

Hope your children have found some relief. I just finished reading "The Kind Diet" which talks about choosing a plant-based diet. It was very good, so much so, that we have decided to finally make the full switch to Veganism. I never realized how many of the health problems that so many of us face are related to Meat and Dairy. The book mentioned specifically dairy allergies and how they cause allergies in us. It might be something you want to look into! Good luck, hope this was helpful!

My 3rd year old had the same problem. He was diagnosed with Reactive Airways Disease at only a few months old. Shaklee has changed his life...we have changed to all non-toxic household cleaners, the first children's vitamin with Lactoferrin to support a healthy immune system, Alfalfa (a natural decongestant), Defend and Resist to help fight infections, etc! I would be happy to share more with you about our story if you are interested! I wish you lots of luck...hopefully nebulizer treatments and steroids will soon be a thing of your past as they are now for us!! :)

see a chiropractor and naturopath. there are natural allergy treatments that are non-invasive and work wonderfully.
