in england we have 7 books, the philosopher's stone, the chamber of secrets, the prisoner of azkaban, the goblet of fire, the order of the phoenix, the half blood prince and deathly hallow's. how many are there in america and other places cos i heard there were 9 altogether.

There are 7 in America-there is also the Tale of Beedle Bard so I guess if you include that one it's 8. I have no idea which book would be considered the 9th.
