Oops, sorry the ice cream is not Soy Dream it is called "Organic SO Delicious". I was able to get it at Albertsons.

My 4 year old son also has a severe dairy allergy. We do Duncan Hines moist deluxe devil's food cake with Pillsbury icing. Read the labels but both of these companies make flavors of these products with no dairy. Soy Dream ice cream is really good too. No dairy:)

Try making a Vegan Raspberry Mocha Cake... so easy and delicious. Here is the recipe: Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

3 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup cocoa

1/4 cup oil

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

2 tbsp vinegar dissolved in 1/4 cup water

3/4 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso

3/4 cup raspberry preserves

Preparation:

Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda and cocoa in a large mixing bowl.

Slowly incorporate oil and vanilla, and then vinegar in water, coffee and raspberry preserves. When batter is well mixed, it will be smooth and creamy.

Pour into greased and battered cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until done. You'll know a cake is done baking when you stick a toothpick into the top and it comes out clean, with no cake on the edges.

Allow to cool before frosting.

Obviously you can substitute Decaf espresso for the little guy! The taste is so good and rich!

If rice or soy are options you could try Rice Dream or Soy Dream. Pretty good stuff if you can't have the real mccoy. You can bake a cake with out milk. Again, if rice and soy are options you can use rice/soy milk to bake the cake. Happy Birthday!

if soy is an option there is a nice so good ice cream with a berry swirl. and as for cake if you make your own there is a lot of recipes you can subsitute with any other milk oat, rice, almond, soy and goat will work the same when used. if you go oat or almond they gived a slight nutty taste but i find rice is probably the best with only a slight taste diff. and if its all milks thats the problem some cakes work fine with just water instead of milk just experiment with a few recipes b4 the big day. happy 1st birthday little man.

hope this helps tc.
