I have a VERY picky 3 year-old. Not only that, but my picky eater is going through her "I don't want to eat" phase. Can anyone offer any new ideas for lunch? She also almost never eats on the days she goes to school. So any ideas for things I can pack for school would be helpful as well. I've tried everything I can think of.

Have you tried smoothies? Throw frozen strawberries, a banana, vanilla yogurt and OJ in a blender. You could tell her its a special strawberry shake. It will give her protein, calcium and vitamins. My picky eater will have these occasionally.

My four year old is going through the same thing, but she does tend to eat her lunch at school, most likely because she doesn't have much of a choice! I've had sucess with pepperoni sticks, cheese and crackers, any fruit/veg she will eat, and sandwhich that she likes. Also leftover pizza works too. You can also try a reward system for eating her lunch (or most of it). I make a big deal if my daughter has eaten most or all of her lunch (especially the fruit and veg), lots of hugs, kisses and praise. Good luck ☼

one thing to do is make if more fun. My kids love it when I make kabobs for them. You can put just about anything they like on them, and it is more fun because it is on a stick. I put ham(or any meat), cheese cubes, some veggies(cucumber, peppers etc) or I make fruit kabobs. they love them. or you could make favorite sand. into shapes useing cookie cutters. Maybe get her to help you make the foods as well.
