My family started a tradition 6 years ago, we head to our favourite holiday park for the Easter Holidays. So 6 months prior I send out an email to all our friends and family to join us and every year we average about 6 families either camping or staying in cabins. The kids absolutely love it during the day they have fun craft / sport activities, of a night they have a movie and on easter sunday we all get up to what the easter bunny has left us, then we all head down to the park area ready for the massive easter egg hunt with over 1000 easter eggs to find. The week is spent with fun laughter and precious time spent with our kids. My kids love it and say they love easter much more than christmas.

Wow. That sounds great. We don't do anything for easter....I was on here to find a great easter tradition to start with my family now that I have a baby. Your idea sounds like one I'd like to do.

The years I am not working Easter, we head to our cabin up north. Lots of family and friends join us for the weekend of dirt bikes, atv rides, walks through the woods, camp fires and of course the famous easter egg hunt. We all contribute to the egg hunt and hide everything outside- hanging from the trees, hidden under leaves, bushes you name it and we hide the chocolate there. After the kids dump there buckets together and share with each other.

Every year we hold Easter dinner at my house. Both my family and my husband's family attend. It is great to have everyone together. This way we do not ahve to pick who we spend time with everyone is there. It's wonderful for my children to ahve all of their loved one together and see that we all get along.
