Hello!!...My name is Angela, I'm from Hiddenite, NC, and I'm a home school mom of 3. Our family is a bit more challenging than some, due to the fact our children all have some type of learning disabilities. If you fit this description or have experience with LD ( Autism, ADD, ADHD, OCD) I would love to hear from you.

Hi Angela, My family and I live in the Wilmington, NC area. I have 2 girls with "issues". My youngest is 9 and has been hospitalized 2 times this spring (bipolar, ADHD, PTSD and auditory processing problem). I brought her home from school this spring and haven't done a lot of school work yet - she's starting occupational and speech therapy this week- so I've been waiting for her to settle down and to get these things in place, also waiting for my 13 year old to be out of school since she attends a charter school that is 30 miles one way (so we have been spending a lot of time in the car - also not good for a child in her condition)...Anyway--- I'm ready to get going (of course working in short spurts with breaks) and I feel pretty good about my plan but am terrified that I won't be able to get her to work at all - especially after the nightmare of school. Oh and my 13 year old is hormonal, bipolar and I suspect a mild form of autism -just enough to effect her ability to socialize (I'm working on the information package to send to the Teach center to have her tested). Any way... HELP... please ..any advice from a mom who's making it work would be greatly appreciated!
