Start with teaching their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. Then progress to letter sounds and counting. Read to them as much as you can. Use real life experiences to teach them.

I didn't. I followed their lead. They wanted to cut and paste; I brought out the paper, magazines, scissors, and glue. They wanted play dough; I made play dough. We did play based learning, not academics. They asked questions; I answered them. If I didn't know, we found out.
There are books on preschool activities, arts and crafts in the library. Ask your mom what she did with you when you were little. Ask friends. Now there is the internet. Goggle is a parent's best friend.
